Santa Fe the Cat needs a home

Hi there, my name is Santa Fe!  I’m a quiet guy, looking for a peaceful home.  I lived most of my life outside, and I’m still a bit nervous around people, I especially dislike loud noises and fast movements.  I actually got my name from the street I was caught on, and I’m pretty lucky.  When I was brought in one of my eyes was really painful, and I couldn’t see out of it.  I let the people here fix my eye with medicine, and now it feels much better.  I’m easily startled, but will relax when things are calm and quiet.  Right now I just want to live peacefully inside, but I’m not quite ready to make friends with people yet.  I’m slowly warming up, but it is going to take some time.



We’re hoping this wonderful little cat will warm up quickly with the right person paying attention, but it’s going to be a very slow process.  Santa Fe will need a very special human.  Someone with experience with scared and feral cats, who has the time and patience to dedicate to working with him.  Anyone interested in Santa Fe will need to visit here at the shelter several times, and show the staff their willingness and patience.  One day, Santa Fe will be an amazing companion kitty for the right person.
